Sing and Play Studio students will learn how to express themselves through song while developing musicianship skills. This course is designed to support students’ instrumental and voice lessons by giving additional practice with rhythm, reading, and aural skills. Each student will get the opportunity to sing, play an instrument (piano, percussion), and perform in an end-of-class recital!

 

From Anna:

As a piano teacher, I often use singing and rhythm activities in my lessons. My students sometimes find hearing melodies, harmonies and rhythm challenging. Developing singing skills is a good way to support instrumental learning and improve aural skills. 

 

From Abby:

As a voice teacher, I incorporate basic notation and rhythm skills early on into lessons as they are more challenging to young singers. This class will help prepare any young musician as they embark on their musical journey!
